Im thinking of joining a Makerspace in maine. I've visited a few before, Im trying to figure them out. do people make stuff for fun? or is it more like a coupple guys build everything while everyone else just hangs out?

Are they more like a frat or a workshop? are they fun? Im game for fun projects, but I dont want to be stamping out bs for etsy. what are yalls experience?
