I want a new smartphone that doesn't use iOS/Android, but all the better alternative OSes have either cucked recently, are abandoned or aren't accessible in the US. I was thinking of a Windows phone, since that appears to be the only real alternative (other than Amazon's fire / kindle tablets). Is there any way I can flash custom OSes on these phones (like a cracked version of 7/XP to avoid Microsoft surveillance)? Again, I'm a complete fucking techlet.
