People may have disliked him but there was a grudging respect there as people had to admit he lived off very little and had a point to what he said. In Athens were philosophy was respected and nobles would fund and feed these men, it was possible.
Chris-Chan would have probably have died young due to being some kind of strange mutant and having a shot immune system that he has lived through because of modern medicine, but if not he would have either been able to force himself to do dumb labour and he would have been bullied and seen as the town retard, or he would have tried to attack someone in a sperg rage and been stabbed to death.
