I was watching a korean comic, and the protagonist asks for an "americano with 5 shots", and I want to know what this "shots" mean.
He does that as some kind of punishment game, I just guess it's really bitter, but I don't even know what this "shot" thing is, so I have no idea if this makes it extra bitter (and how if so) or it's just more to drink or something.
I don't have knowledge about coffee terms so, can someone please explain what this means?

Shots of espresso. An Americano is shots of espresso diluted with hot water to the equivalent strength of a typical cup of coffee. This person is asking for a ridiculously strong Americano.

so... searching in the web this "shot of expresso" is hot water passing at fast speed through coffee beans. I'm not sure if there's a standard measure of each shot (like if 50ml is a shot or something).

sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by that, all I could find about this "portafilter" were images of some piece which looks to have a filter (sorry, I'm pretty bad at investigation, english isn't my main language and there seems to not be info in my language)

I'm not sure why not, I'm guessing it's like putting some salad as a pizza topping, but it not being a salad anymore.

Thank you for your help, but I guess I'm not smart enough to understand you completely.
For now I guess I need to know what exactly this "shot of expresso" is (does it require some exact water content? can 5 of those be put in a cup and call it "5 shots"?).

for coffee, a "shot" is a single serving of espresso. it is a small volume, maybe 30 or 40 mL, or around 1 fl Oz. espresso is essentially a coffee concentrated in a small volume
an "americano" is made by combining one shot of espresso with hot water, usually until it reaches the strength of brewed coffee. but the character asks for 5 shots, so it would be a very strong drink, with lots of caffeine

as for your last question, yes i think people would call multiple shots "double-shot" or "triple-shot", etc., or "double espresso", for example

You always get the same amount of espresso, the 1/2/3 shots is how much coffee is squashed into the filter that's used to make it.

So you can't get a 5-shot espresso, because there isn't room to fit five shots of coffee in.

Why not? Even though i still believe that making coffee with coffee instead of water would cause unrepairable damage to the universal structure, using the shot to go up to five is the same as putting the amount of 5 in it from the beginning, isnt it?

The main point is you usually only get double filters and machines usually only have two heads, so you have to make five shots on a machine that makes four shots.

Sadly, I don't know a thing about making "expresso" (I have just tasted coffee from a coffee maker with grinded coffee beans). And I barely understood that you need to pass the water through the filter at great speed to make espresso, and depending on the coffee in the filter, that's the quantity of "shots", and for some reason adding a 3 shot and a 2 shot into a cup, and then hot water, doesn't make it a 5 shot Americano.

That's as far as my brain can go, but thank you, I will keep the "it'd be really bitter, but it's impossible" as an answer.

I investigated and there seem to be "4 shot" drinks in some coffee shops, but I'm not even sure about how those are made.

sorry, I just saw some guy talking stuff (my English is bad) and the subtitles didn't help (the guy must be speaking strangely because it shows Chinese subtitles by default).

For the little I could get, I didn't hear it mention anything about "shots". For the titles I'm guessing he's trying to say "how to make it delicious" but maybe this is kind of too advanced knowledge of what I'm looking for.

Like if I ask what a flat tire is, and someone sends me to a "how to drive" video tutorial (I may understand it wrong).

And yes this is probably too advanced, these videos are about how to make espresso at home. The most similar video there is about shots is the one bout doses.
I can tell you a doses is between 7 and 9 grams of finely ground coffee, a double doses is just the double of that. A SHOT would be the output which ideally must be the double of the doses, so 16 grams of grounds must yield 32 grams of liquid.
For espresso the coffee must be grounded very fine so water can pass through it straight, if it's too coarse water will have problems passing by and come the other way without direction spilling all over and if it's too fine water will make a channel through the grounds and yield a bitter drink.
Americano is an item on the menu of most cafes, there is a myth that says that american soldiers who came to italy in WWII found espresso too strong and requested for it to be diluted with water to make it more like the drip coffee americans like. Americano is just taking any serving of espresso and adding the same amount of hot water.

This and your definition later, kind of made me understand the idea of "Americano", thank you
For now I guess the quantity of the liquid makes the "shoot", and I'm guessing the amount of water must be the same as the output expresso to make it "Americano", and the "extra shots" are adding more expresso than water on the mix, but as someone else said, "that would be against the Americano definition"
I think I got a better idea now, I don't plan to become a barista, I just wanted to understand how this shot/extra-shot may make it bitter.

It's "against the spirit" because coffee is commonly consumed in small servings, and such large serving of coffee is just too much caffeine.
