Alright guys, i just turned 20 and I want to start living my dream life in japan. i wanna settle down with a native qt in the country side as an endgame but willing to start anywhere. no bullshit, what are the cheat codes to make this happen?

Japan is a fascist ethostate. They will deny you living arrangements because youre not japanese. You will be denied promotion because youre not japanese. You will be an outcast. Women will not care about you because youre not japanese and they will be outcasts along with you if they so much as look at6 you too long. You will be stigmatized and told to go back to your country. No one is going to do anything about it. Its not going to change. You will net magically fit in somehow. This cuts both ways though. Much like you can have any genetic background and be british, you can have any genetic background and be japanese. It's possible to do it, but they can smell a weeaboo a mile off.

I know this talking point is parroted ad nauseam, but does anyone in practice actually believe this? I'd bet the vast majority of ethnic Caribbean people in London would consider themselves Caribbean first, and British citizens second

They don't do that anymore. They did allow a small number of Koreans and Taiwanese to become Japanese back in the World War days, but that offer no longer stands.

Koreans and Taiwanese who defected to Japan were literally given Japanese citizenship, and they even killed their former countrymen in the name of Japan. If they had any kids in Japan, they would be recognized as Japanese. To make matters more confusing, the Japanese census does not count ethnic background, only national.
