Maybe you're referring the diagonal pattern increasing the perceived acutance of the image.
If so, take picrel in Photopea or Photoshop, define it as a new pattern (Edit / Define New / Pattern).
Then on your image of choice, add a pattern fill layer and choose that pattern.
Set the blending mode to overlay and play with the opacity.
Don't stare at the raw pattern too long or else you might brain your damage.
