Greetings anon.
I bought this cheap pair of headphones but got annoyed with the short battery life so i hacked in an external battery pack to swap batteries when needed.
I bought a battery clip and popped in 4 x rechargeable AA batteries in series to get up to 5.5Volts. The batteries are some 2200mah and some 2000mah.
Now my problem is while the batteries are freshly charged and measures at 5.5Volts the headphones will randomly not power on and go into sort of a boot loop making a clicking noise instead of the tin voice stating it's in a bluetooth mode.
To test I connected a 5Volt 0.5amp DC powersupply to the terminals going to the headphones and they power on every time without issue.
What am i missing?

>Why not use a battery bank?
Can't, usb port was damaged last time i used it and requires micro soldering which i don't have the tools for.
>Why not buy a pair of proper headphones that uses AA or AAA batteries from the get go?
I would like a pair of Senheisser RS series headphones, whichever is newest model but i don't want to spend that much for something that will be used occasionally.
