I remember watching an anime, can't remember the name, a few years ago about taking on mechs/giant robots himself without a mech suit of his own, I think it was 80's and 90's show and the guy had a ponytail and he even uses a sniper rifle at some point (No, not yoko) Also if you have any recommendations for an anime with such a concept please tell me
