Requesting a program to write and manipulate ordinary .txt files on android.
I use syncthing to share .txt files from my pc to my phone and I just need a way to write things inside of those .txt files on my phone as well.
For a sort of shared note-taking setup.

Free and open source is mandatory

EMACS, vi? Do those exist for android? I found 'Linux Emacs Editor Manual in aurora but it says that it contains ads which I certainly don't want in my text writing program.
I hope this thread doesn't get derailed because I said something questionable.

I use grapheneOS and get all my apps through either f-droid or aurora. I really want to have a phone and because of laws in my country it's really convenient not having a phone. This is the best I have at the moment, what would you have me running instead?
And I obviously wan't my note-taking program to be free and open source, I see no need to compromise just for writing .txt files.

There are Vim and Emacs ports on F-Droid. You can also install the terminal versions of these and others in Termux.

I am grateful for the recommendation and sorry for the spelling errors, may I have something more phone-friendly? The buttons are really small and using a command-line interface on the phone is kinda hard in the first place.
