I have literally tried doing several artistic hobbies
and gave up each of them immediately when I was a teenager.

Learn by doing. Just draw. Study artists u like. Watch videos on how to draw. Study shapes. Take requests. Its not too late anon if i had started back at 24 i might have been somebody. Now im just an old fuck stuck in my ways.

If you don't have an end goal, you won't put in the work
Think of something you really, really would like to draw, something you would regret if you weren't able to and that will push you to improve

When that's done look up artists that have treated this subject in a way that satisfies you and study them deeply
Understand what it means to treat your subject successfully, what must be evident in every drawing for you to consider it complete

This will help you steer your search for proper technique in the right direction

Everybody needs to be technically proficient to be able to make a choice when drawing
Ideally your degree of realism should only be limited by your artistic choice and not a lack of ability
This doesn't mean that perfect realism is the pinnacle of art, that would merely be photography
You should look to be able to express 100% what you want your drawing to be, without approximations, and technique will be your instrument

When it comes to the actual grind, there is nothing like drawing from life.
Draw everything related to your preferred subject. Anything. If you something hard to put to paper, that's an indication you should work on it.
Get somebody honest to look at your drawings and critique them properly. they don't have to be artists themselves, just honest. If you have nobody, ask here or on /ic/.

Study the renaissance masters, they are unsurpassed in general and in drawing in particular. Any from that time period will do, but nobody can beat Leonardo, Michelangelo and, of course, Raffaello. All you need to know about drawing you can find in their works.

Pick your pencils well and get to the paper.
Remember there's no substitute for hard work.

Further to your point, OP is perfectly capable of sitting down, composing a whingey reply in the box, and pressing "post". It's clear that OP is capable of planning and executing tasks, he just refuses to do so if he doesn't like doing them or doesn't see the point.

By way of illustration, people will occasionally suggest he do basic drawing exercises because he's clearly deficient in the fundamental motor skills required to operate such tools as "pencils". He won't do them or will give up almost immediately, because doing fundamental exercises doesn't magically make you Pablo Picasso.

I have shakey hands, and body tremors, I have never been good at hand writing and I can barely draw a straight line. Even doing a drawing exercise makes my entire upper body hurt after just 15 fucking minutes. Then I just rest for the rest of the day.

Awesome, keep doing that until it take eleven minutes, then twelve minutes, then thirteen minutes, and eventually it won't hurt at all. That's what you need to do at the moment, turn the computer off and go do that.

It's not possible to do physiological damage to yourself just by working normal hours at a desk, so pack as much of this into one day as you possibly can. We're talking dozens of sessions per day, you should be able to manage at least thirty. Go for a walk or something in between, that will help with your general mood and cardiovascular fitness.

You're not, you first need to build up the stamina to be able to do basic office work. Learning drawing can come later, once you've learned how to sit down and do some fucking work. Unlearning bad habits is the least of your problems right now, it literally does not matter what you produce on the paper, so long as you actually do the work. Drawing stuff takes more than ten minutes, so you will never have the stamina to draw anything unless you first work on being able to work.
