what are some good, fun, cheap action games on steam? there's a steam sale going on right now
vanquish is one of my fav games, so anything fast and fun like that would be great
already played and loved: bayonetta, devil may cry, metal gear rising
played and hated: god of war 2018

Bleh. I'd like to avoid playing soulless always online bloated grinding simulators built to stretch as little content as possible over the longest stretch of time to keep you logging in day after day after day.

It just celebrated it's 10th anniversary, trust me, there's a lot of content in it for you. Besides the gameplay itself is pretty fun. And the best part is that you can trade with other players for premium currency, i play Warframe since 2017 and haven't donated even once.

It would be incredibly surprising if it was anything other than a thinly veiled, heavily monetized, predatory 'games as a service' title, but it is free, so I'll give it a download.

Don't it's a terrible soulless grindfest you grind to grind more efficiently I also wasted thousand of hours from my life on this. Don't do it. There's no end to it and it's less and less fun with every update.

Devs wanted to make this game since about 20 years ago, there is a trailer from 2005 and practically everything from it (at least visuals) is in the game now. And about monetisation, again, you can get premium currency by trading with other players. There is pvp mode but literally not a single person plays it. One more thing and it might important - it's not borderlands/diablo/destiny etc, guns and other stuff have fixed stats and you change them with mods that also have fixed stats. The grind comes from resources for building stuff and drop chances for blueprints and simillair stuff. Again, once you build something you wont need to grind for another one of the same name for better stats.

yeah and they deleted the old parkour, extreme powercreep, grindfest with no actual endgame I mean sure go ahead you can try it as this anon suggests there is a bunch of content that you have to grind for so that you can grind more

Forgot to tell you one very usefull thing, learn to bulletjump - just jumping during sliding launches you towards where you were looking at, without it levels might appear to be way too big.

Started things a little early. While there's not too much to comment on for the first hour and a half of gameplay, I assume similar to games like Devil May Cry and most other action games, the combat possibilities open up more over time, be it through upgrades or just player experience.

Make sure to level up your gear all the way because doing so goes into your mastery rank which gives a bunch of bonuses with each rank. And it's not just corridors with rooms, there are several opne world areas, Archwing for space, the whole space ship with crew that you can hire or go with other players etc.
