The more desirable you are (think Mr Beast) the better the payout becomes, but for a smaller just starting out creator the money lies in private promotion deals and paypigs on shit like Patreon.
If you want to earn money making minute long vids you will need to release a ton of them over a long time.
Note that succesful YT shorts (which I assume is your focus for minute long vids) can garner 10+ million views in a year. Doomscrolling is real. So a short with an ad that has 5 million views. Could bring in that $50.
But you can see how the smarter choice is usually slowly building an audience, then once you are established try to "blow up" with a video that goes "viral" (which these days just means you do the cringey shit that gets you in peoples recs), and then try to monetize your audience itself.
