i know that feel, its annoying and alas there are no current archives of /wsg/ or /gif/, but there are FOUR easy steps to take in this situation!
First, 'view same' on the archive, see if it's been posted recently.
Second, if not, try reverse image searching both google and yandex via the 'ImgOps' website (there's a button on the archive for this).
Third, if no results, check if it had a filename. Google search the filename.
Fourth, if no results, go to the board it was originally posted in, and a thread similar to the original and post the thumbnail of the image you're looking for, along with a description of the video in question. you may need to convert the png or jpg to a gif on /wsg/ or /gif/.
