and while the anime fits the aesthetic because they give the gems color, the manga reminded me much more of brutalism, its all high contrast with mostly just jet black and pure white with only little bits of shading here and there, which works really well with the extremely tall archways and the mass of lunarians looming over the characters
i'd really reccomend you read it, it works so much better as a manga with static drawings than it does animated, not to mention that the manga is actually complete
