Coming from no music background whatsoever, I decided to learn the piano back in November. I still suck at it and I need to /r/ some piano books that contains things like easier music or hell, even a book that contains daily exercises I can do helps as I don't mind doing repetitive shit like playing scales. About the only book that I am following is Alfred's basic Adult All in one series. The only thing I am opposed to is using one of those damn piano apps as subscription services are cancerous shit.
Anyways, about the only thing(s) I can do are:
- recognize keys on the piano
- very slowly sight read (not that it matters since I just end up transcribing it anyways as I suck as it)
- I can play some major and minor scales. Not all of them as the music I want to learn are mostly in Eb major scale or D major scale.
- Chords I can play, unless it is inverted which I can barely recognize them as major/minor chords. Arrpegios are a WIP.
