looking for a game, hoping someone knows it

i might have fabricated some of this stuff because i remember it from a while back so wildcards are welcome

it's a 2d game where there's magic, and it looks like a more polished jrpg style. it came out fairly recently, i think. some guy on a youtube video was strongly recommending it because it had a very intricate combat system (which I think was real-time rather than turn-based). I think there was mention of a good story too.

I swear I wishlisted it on steam but it's just not there. would appreciate any leads
