Semi tech illiterate here. I've been using the same desktop pc for the last 8 years and I've never done any form of backup ever, which is probably very retarded. I just got my hands on a 2tb usb external hdd and I'd like to use it to backup everything on my pc, just to be safe. I'm looking to backup my C: and D: drives, so about a little less than 1TO. I'm trying to look for answers on Google but all I'm finding are overly long articles that try to sell me some expensive software... I'd rather ask here.
Whats the simplest way of doing my backup? Are there any free software that I should prioritize using or does win10 has some built-in backup software that would do the job?
And also, what the difference between an system image and a regular backup? should maybe do both of these, and would I have the room to do so on my 2tb disk? ty!
