Nes Maker Licence?

No.1470038 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hi! And no, I'm not asking for a licence for this software. Rather, I have a question related to the licence.

You see, my brother bought a licence for Nes Maker recently and is already making some pretty interesting games.
I saw them and said "cool games, bro. Could you give me the licence so I may also make games?"

And he said that's impossible, but I suspect he's just being stingy. I said something like "the licence should work for me too if I use it on my PC" but he said something or other about each licence being associated with one PC.

I think that's BS. Is my brother just being stingy for no reason?
I mean, how would the company behind Nes Maker knowthat it's not one person using two PCs?

Or is there really a way for the company to block a licence when you try to use it on a second machine?
Or even worse, detect that and block the software?
