Hello /wsr/.
I am running Debian 12 and decided to swap from gnome to KDE Plasma because I do not enjoy gnome. However, I have ran into some problems with my second monitor.
When running in Gnome, my monitor worked perfectly fine. And running KDE in Wayland, the monitor also runs perfectly fine, but the DE is extremely slow, so much it's unusable.
When I run KDE in X11, the DE runs smoothly, but my second monitor stops working. It will show the KDE Plasma loading screen, then go blank, then when I log out, it starts working again.
Running 'xrandr -q' will show the monitor as not plugged in, and it also does not show under System Settings - Display Configuration.
I tried deleting .local/share/kscreen and restarting but it did not do anything.
If relevant, I installed KDE using tasksel
My main monitor, the one working, is plugged directly into my graphics card (AMD Rysen), while the one I am having problems with is plugged into my motherboard (Gigabyte B650). If I swap these around, the monitor that is not working does also swap. I only have one HDMI slot in my graphics card, so I can't just plug them both in there.
Any advice? I could just go back to gnome but I'd rather not.
