I remember playing terranigma, and how you started in the prehistory, terraforming the land, then helping animals, and later, people. I liked how something you made in prehistory could make new land to be formed, and later how helping some people to discover inventions made radical changes over the town, till it became a modern city.
Before anything, I already googled "games like terranigma", and most responses focus in the "action combat rpg" part, meanwhile "butterfly effect games" just give response to "visual novel like games" where a yes or no "affects the plot later, and I'm not really searching for something like that. What I'm looking for is a game where your actions may cause this butterfly effect over the world, like if you rescue some animal from some trap, it somehow influence in the world making some island explorable later, and then if you help some random hobo, later the phone is invented and this leads to cities with skyscrappers and such.
Are there any games with this kind of "butterlfy effect on your actions which may change the whole world"?
