find something productive to do, some kind of creative outlet. drawing, writing, coding, whatever. if you find yourself wanting to check youtube or whatever try to do that creative thing instead.

if you want something in your browser, there's leechblock which lets you limit the amount of time you can use a website.

Disable and delete watch history, nothing will show on the initial youtube.com and the shorts tab, check your subscriptions only once per day and unsubscribe if you get the feeling that videos from X channel are useless/pointless
Add this filter to ublock origin to remove the suggestions shown on the side, they get even more cancerous if watch history is disabled

Enter "youtube.com" and "tube.be" into your antivirus program as URLs to be blocked. Your A/V will then take care of your mental health as well as save you time from constant browsing.
