Where to learn C for free

I want to teach myself the C programming language as it's part of my major. I lack any previous programming experience so I am a complete beginner. Where can I learn C for free and practice it?

C itself hasn't changed much since then. I would say there's a benefit to reading k&r because you gain some historically significant perspective on the language and its pedagogy, it's still the best C book in my opinion. not even the same anon but i read it when i was 14 and re-read a couple times after.

What don't you like about books?

You want something interactive?
The book has plenty of exercises to do(as a beginner, you should do all of them)

You want something that's split in smaller sections like a webpage?
The book has chapter and sub-chapters.

You don't want text?
Almost every programming language is exclusively text. You're not gonna' escape it

I read it recently, it's a good book. Do the exercises to make it more fun, interactive, and reinforce the concepts.
