I've got a Zephyrus m16 for longer than 2 years now and around a month ago it started having this issue where whenever there's black on the the bottom of the screen (like when watching Youtube), a weird scratch mark like distortion appears that is affected by color and motion on the screen above it, so if a big red explosion happens on what Im watching, the scratch mark goes red on the black part of the video.
I think this only happens when the laptop gets hot in usage, however the weird thing is that the exhaust openings right below the screen for this laptop model are intakes, an indeed you cannot feel any hot air spewing out of them that would distort the laptop display like that. And it happens only to the laptop display and not my other connected displays so its not a GPU issue.
Since the issue seems to initially not be there when booting up the laptop cold, does anyone have a tip to help prevent/stop this?
