How do I figure out the boiling point and solubility in water of organic compounds in a general way? Say, x Ketone reaches its boiling point faster than y Ketone, or than z Aldehyde.

The material SDS or the spec info related to the CAS number should give you the information you need. Otherwise, you have to predict based on the chemical's structure and its interaction with water (hydrogen bonds, dipoles etc) You can't know that of unknown compounds quantitatively unless you do the experiment yourself.
