Its ability to autodelete saves time.
The ref folder option is very handy. I can set my image folder as reference, then search it and my downloads folder and it will compare the recent downloads to my images folder. Images already in my images folder won't trigger hits with each other, that takes a normal search, handy if you have sets containing images that are similar to each other which you've already checked.
After using that I'll often use dupe-finder. Worse interface which is why I don't use it first.
