Depends what it is.
The only reason you get notices for torrenting is because some publishers connect to those torrents themselves to scan for IPs.

Typically, they seek out infringers to scare off or sue (very rarely) by connecting to the torrent and checking the peers that are also connected to it, then e-mailing whichever ISP the IP happens to belong to at that moment. Assuming you're in North America, because I don't know about anywhere else, but yeah your ISP shouldn't care about you or your info unless they are compelled to, because cooperating with companies to fuck their consumer base is bad for business. You would be sued directly by the company if anything, which you won't. Don't worry.
