Please help, I feel like I am going crazy.
I am playing Final Fantasy IX on Mednafen and I am roughly towards the *end* of CD3, after having completed A LOT of side stuff.
Today I try to load my last save [spoiler:lit]this usually takes several retries, I'd like an explaination for this issue too, but that's not the main issue here[/spoiler:lit] but, for some mysterious reason, I unexplicably found myself thrown back at the time of my first save, at the *beginning* of CD3, with several months of progress completely lost; I tried shutting down and re-opening Mednafen several times, and every time my last save is nowhere to be seen, replaced by the old one from months ago.
How the actual fuck is this even possible?!? I always keep *1* single save file, and I *always* overwrite it whenever I save, so that old save file should've been completely erased from existence months ago, and the last one should be the only existing one!
How the fuck did Mednafen forgot my last save all by itself?
And more importantly, how do I fix this?!?
