I had a college professor (he taught linguistics and English for writing academic texts), and he said he looked up a ton of words using this feature, even though he's a highly educated native speaker from America. It also keeps track of the words you look up, and it gives you a list of words in context from the text you found them in.
I also recommend watching documentaries.
