>Akira
>Lain
>Edgerunners
Ghost in the Shell, both the 1995 movie and the Stand Alone Complex television series. GitS is THE cyberpunk anime franchise. The ones I recommended are the best, cream of the crop, but if you like it and want more, you can try some of the other films, at your own risk.
Also maybe try Psycho Pass.
>Perfect Blue
>Tokyo Godfathers
Well those are Satoshi Kon's two best works in my opinion, but since you seem to like sci-fi stuff, I'd recommend Kon's only television series: Paranoia Agent. Maybe consider Paprika (film) as well.
>Kaiji
Akagi is a natural follow up to it. You might feel intimidated if you don't know how to play mahjong, but it's a great watch regardless.
>Grave of the Fireflies
Barefoot Gen. Another WW2 movie focused on a small child in Japan, but focusing on the atomic bomb rather than the fire bombing of Tokyo.
>Porco Rosso
>Pom Pompoko
>The Boy and the Heron
>The Wind Rises
I'm happy to see you appreciated Porco Rosso, my favorite Ghibli film, but it's odd you haven't seen the more widely known and acclaimed ones like Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa, and Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castles, etc. If you have to watch just one, I'd go with Nausicaa, you'll probably groove off of the sci-fi stuff in it a lot more than the others, but Princess Mononoke is prety famous for being Miyazaki's darkest, most violent film, if that does anything for you. Or, in the opposite direction, you could go for My Neighbor Totoro, though it's definitely more of a whimsical kid's movie.
