Cleaning cigarette smell from used GPU.

I purchased a used graphics card (R7-260X) that arrived today and the seller failed to mention that it smells of cigarette smoke.
So far I've cleaned the shroud with soap and water, and cleaned the heatsink, this just leaves the card itself and the fan.
Anyone have any tips for getting the smell off the PCB and fan?

You can still smell the graphics card while its in the PC case? Are you sure the smell is gone from the plastic shroud you cleaned? In my experience certain plastics are good at absorbing odors. You probably need to soak it some solution to get rid of the smell.

The shroud cleaned up nicely, no smell coming from it anymore, the PCB still smells, I haven't put it in a system yet, went straight to cleaning it.

I've tried using a soft brush and some 91% isopropyl, no visible dirt or dust but the smell is still there. Maybe it needs some time to dissipate now.

There's definitely been some improvement only part of the fan that really smells is the wires, as for the PCB, it still smells but seems to get worse the farther away from the bracket you go.

Ozone (O3) can get rid of cigarette smell, but it can also damage some materials, notably rubber. I don't know about computer hardware. It is used to deodorize old houses.

Ozone is very dangerous in the concentration needed, so read up on the hazards and be careful.

Put it in the sun for a few hours on a sunny day. UV will neutralize the smell. Just make sure it doesn't get too hot but 60c should be safe considering most GPU run near 70c at full.
