Give me a "good-enough" reason to code.

I want to learn how to code so i can get a job. I wanna do web development since that seems easy peasy but I just can't find a good enough reason to learn it. Like... what exactly do I want to accomplish from learning it?? In this video I watched. It says a effective way to learn how to code is to clearly define your goals, and then build a learning process towards that. And learn what you need to do in order to achieve your goal.
The thing is... I consider my goal too shallow to achieve. Not a deep enough reason to learn. Not good enough to waste my time on I guess.. I don't know if I'm just depressed or if I actually don't want to learn how to code. I feel conflicted.
I wanna learn how to do small things.. like, filter my favorites through a program and sort it out. And I also wanna keep my computer safe from hackers and whatnot.. my interests are all over the place. So much to where it feels spread thin and nonexistent. And I'm not sure where I wanna notch down my main goal to do.
