For whatever reason my home internet isn't working. My laptop works when I'm directly connected to the router via ethernet. However when my roommate and I try to connect our Iphones to the router it automatically says cannot connect to the wifi. Is there a solution? I have tried turning it off and turning it back on.

So, the home internet is working.

What about the laptop, can it connect to the Wi-Fi?
What about other devices - consoles, tablets, etc?

Go in the admin interface and change some Wi-Fi settings around.
If I were you, I would also install OpenWRT because the Netgear firmware is god-awful.

When the router resets its wifi password because someone pushed that WPS button, then you have to re-enter the correct password on the laptop, phones, or other PC trying to connect. If you login to the router (via ethernet with your laptop), you can look at the new password it generated. To do that, Enter that IP address of the router into the browser's address line. The default password should be printed on the back of the router. Of course, direct ethernet connections to the router still works, so that's why your laptop can connect that way.

Once you get the new login password from the router, that's what you'll enter when trying to login using your remote devices.
