>>1485354Akagi. If you don't know how to play look up videos or make an account on Mahjong soul and learn from there. Once you understand the basics you can jump right in. Obviously, you don't have to but you'll be very confused throughout.
Once you're done with Akagi you can move onto manga. There's a lot of translated FKMT manga so I'll break down what you should focus on and then the others:
>Kaiji Part 3-6 (6 is currently publishing and on hiatus)>Strongest Man Kurosawa>Akagi manga (start from chapter 110 as that's where the anime ends)>Ten: The Nice Guy on the Path to Tenhou (published before Akagi but set after in the timeline)>Gin to Kin>Nikaido Hell Golf (still publishing)>Gambling Emperor Zero Part 1-2>Buraiden Gaii>Mamiya (set wellllll after Akagi and Ten, still publishing)And for things that aren't as important but are in English by FKMT:
>Atsui ze Pen-chan>Life In Tokyo Ichijou>Seison LifE (written by him, art by the guy who did Zipang)>Confession (same as above)>Yoroshiku! Junjou Taishou (first thing FKMT made, a one shot)>Ikenai Kacchan Love Story (another one shot)>Ginyanma: Janki-tachi no Densetsu>Rude 39>Kaiji Gaiden >Akagi Zawa Zawa Anthology (just a set of fun stories around Akagi by other mangaka)Lastly, things that are like Kaiji/Akagi but aren't:
>One Outs (baseball gambling, has an anime)>Liar Game >Legendary Gambler Tetsuya (mahjong anime about guys cheating)Overall there's a lot of unfinished stuff in terms of translation despite the publishing being completed (Tonegawa, Saitsuyo Densetsu Nakane, Fukumoto All Stars) and stuff that hasn't even been touched by the translators (Wani no Hatsukoi, Miagereba Tsuutenkaku (and a lot more)) but don't worry about those too much.
What I've posted here should be good enough, anime can be found via nyaa and manga all from mangadex.
