I'm getting rid of my old laptop. How do I wipe the hard drive? It's Linux and nothing needs to be saved. I just wanna nuke the entire fucking thing for security reasons

This is the correct answer. You never know when a spare drive will come in handy. You can even buy an enclosure to convert it into an external USB drive.

Pretty much this. Just leave it without a hard drive. The next user will get a SSD and it will be much faster.

You do this but with 3 holes. Use a metal drill bit and not wood drill bit. Also use eyeprotection for ricochet.
