>>1488108To the best of my knowledge, no, there is no good anime adaption of JTTW. What's more, there's no good animated adaption either.
There is a version produced by CCTV but that eliminates the whole of Part 1 where Monkey learns all his powers, tries to take over Heaven and gets trapped under a mountain for 500 years by the Buddha. Then it skips chapters Part 2 which details the backstory of Tripitaka. Apparently there's a prequel movie that covers Part 1.
The first episode is basically chapter 14, teh second chapter of Part 3, but without Liu Boqin, instead there's a Taoist immortal who just arrives and tells Tripitaka to go back for Monkey who is rescued but the headband is saved for the next episode.
The next episode has a dragon scare away the horse not eat it. There isn't a lot of fighting, instead Monkey does swimming and drops food on the River King. Quanyin doesn't just arrive, Monkey goes to her to complain about the headband and get help with the dragon. She still turns it into Bailongma but without the long explanation of why it's needed and it has its saddle and bridle rather than them having to travel to a shrine find it.
The English translation has two short Chinese episodes packaged as a single episode with a title card at the start and in the middle where each short Chinese episode starts. The adaption throws away pretty much all the violence.
You can see from the above that it's a bit more faithful than others, for what it covers, but still not good although as an introduction for children it's fine. It's called Journey to the West: Legends of the Monkey King if you want to look it up.
