My memories are hazy.

The movie had a Cloverfield kinda vibe (it probably was found footage but I'm not sure). It was about a documentary crew or something going to the Amazon rainforest (I think) to ask locals about some monster and try to catch it on camera.

I remember one particular scene where they're on a boat and some giant octopus/spider looking monster walks over them. I think they were trying to keep quiet so as to not alert it.

I also remember a scene where they stop for a while at a gas station and talk.
