Got an Nvidia Shield for my piece of shit 4k FireTV. The OS is embedded on the TV itself, which is the problem. When I power off my Nvidia Shield, which is hooked into the HDMI of the TV, you would expect the TV to turn off, but instead, it just turns off the shield and the TV flashes before bringing me to the FireOS (or whatever) menu.
How can I make it so turning off my Nvidia Shield just turns off the TV/display entirely? I've been looking for a way to make my TV "display only" so it doesn't interface with the built-in OS at all. Any suggestions?
