Unless GIMP has been recently pozzed, which I sincerely doubt, I really wouldn't worry about it. I imagine a worst-case scenario for GIMP is an installer that includes other software as an opt-out checkbox. I'm talking out of my ass, though. GIMP should be fine. If someone has a source for GIMP becoming sketchy, please post it.
