Then buy some dumbbells and do some exercises. The real key though is: consistency, you want to do "something" every day. Keep going at it for a few weeks. Every day you take 15 mins to 30 of just doing a few pushups and some dumbbell reps.
Then, once your ready, go to the Gym, start easy, start slow. It isn't a sprint, it isn't a race, it's a marathon where speed isn't a factor - you're going to cross that finish line eventually; so take it slow by lifting easy weights, maybe fuck around with random machines until you find some that you'll like - don't forget to mess around with treadmills too. I highly recommend doing 10 mins of cardio at a treadmill. It's all about getting your body into a pattern where you do this everyday.
For the first few week it's going to be difficult, socially, and physically. Word of advice: don't compare yourself to others, don't get upset when you see someone who's better than you, chances are they started off just like you but unlike you they've been going at it for years. When you finally can go to the gym everyday for 7 days it'll be time to get serious; meaning go and buy a calendar and starting marking down the amount of days you for; I highly recommend setting goals of 14 days, 30 days, 60 days, etc.
