Yozakura family is pretty good at the concept of protecting the family

Mc and his wife have a kid later but the anime isn’t going to get there, however you will get to see the grandpa of the family teach this to MC, the father of MCs wife seems to be working with the bad guys but part of his plan seems to be to make MC stronger

Thanks I’ll check it out, but I didn’t necessarily mean family stuff or even romance. A really common trope in anime is to have one of the female mcs be incredibly smart and self sufficient. Girls like this definitely exist irl but yk, disproportionately more in anime. I guess I’m looking for anime with dumb girls being trad, or dumb girls not being trad and ending up regretting it in a cautionary tale sort of way instead of “muh empowerment I am simultaneously a retard and self sufficient” sort of way.

Clannad After Story is basically the ultimate anime about family.
First Clannad is basically just a school shenanigans, then comes After Story which is season 2 when the MC marries one of the girls, takes 23 eps to get to After Story but it's worth it.
