Cause of weird computer freeze?

No.1492290 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I have the following issue. Occasionally the computer freezes, like completely. The screen doesn't get black, it keeps showing the same thing when it crashes and the sound abruptly cuts off. It's like the computer is frozen in time. SysRq magic keys don't work. SSHing into the computer doesn't work. When I force reboot the computer no logs were recorded, no kernel panics, no nothing.
It only happens while I'm playing some video game (not even some specific ones, it was caused by 3 different games up till now) and this doesn't happen every single time, it happens on average once every ~3-4 days. Quality of graphics or power capping the GPU doesn't seem to matter. I've pushed the GPU before to do some AI shit but it didn't cause it to crash. I've stressed tested the CPU+GPU and the memories for several hours but those stress tests didn't cause any crash.
What could be the cause of it? Did this ever happen to anyone else? Pic related. RAM is ECC
