Hi again, I'm the anon from last week with a computer that got rained on. My computer wouldn't start, and I didn't know if the issue was the motherboard or the PSU. Well, I got a new PSU that came in today and my computer is still screwed. It seems like the problem is something else which means I have no idea what to do next.

I plan on taking my computer to a repair shop nearby but I'm really paranoid about them putting some shit on my computer that I won't see like cases I've read of stores putting remote access programs on computers. Also, not to self-doxx too much but if anybody has recommendations in the London area in the UK I'm all ears.

What is the best way to avoid this or figure out if anything like that happens as soon as possible once I get it back? Also, what is the least amount of stuff I can give to them so the shop can properly diagnose and fix my computer, as it stands now my computer won't turn on so I don't know if anything else is fucked, 1 graphics card, 2 ram sticks, 1 hard drive, 1 SSD?

Lastly, is there anything I can do to see if the problem is fixable before I give it to the shop? If there are signs that something is wrong with the motherboard or any other parts I may be able to look for before handing it over so I don't get overcharged for random crap.

Thanks for the help on the last thread and I appreciate any help on this one too.
