I've been trying to install the driver for an Analog Devices AD1888 sound chip but have had no success.

The motherboard I'm using is an Intel D201GLY which has only one PCI slot since it's mini ITX so installing a sound card would leave me with the crappy SiS Mirage graphics.
Attempting to install the driver with its setup executable appears to succeed but after rebooting I'm met with an error that reads "No ADI codec driver is installed." Attempting to install by right-clicking the INF file yields no results and attempting to install the driver via the add new hardware section of the control panel shows no selectable hardware models after selecting the INF file.
The same result occurs in Windows 2000.
I am able to get audio working in Windows XP using snappy driver installer origin.
So far I've tried an installer from Asus and one from https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/intel-d201gly-little-valley

Intel deleted all downloads for EOL products back in 2019.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I could try next?
