Been trying to solve this for years now.
Long time ago, I played touhou scarlet curiosity on a windows 8.1 laptop and it was just fine.
I wanted to replay it on a new pc that was running windows 10 but for some reason it had terrible stuttering and frametime issues (fps constantly switching between 57 and 60). I ran a frametime graph with msi afterburner to confirm, and there were constant massive frametime spikes.
I tried to play it on windows 11 to see if it was an OS issue but I still got the same stuttering. Tried reinstalling drivers, changing graphics, even tried forcing it to run vulkan and dx11 from dx9, etc., nothing has worked so far.
I don't have my old windows 8.1 laptop anymore and would rather not install windows 8.1 in 2024.
My questions from this:
1. can someone test touhou scarlet curiousity on their own PC and see if they get teh same frametime stutter issues?
2. How do I fix this?
