I want to try a thing, but it requires a Google login, but I don't feel comfortable tying my real Google account to it. Also, in my country, making a new Google account requires a phone number. What are my options?

I kinda remember hearing the phone number requirement isn't there if you set up on a phone. Is that what you're getting at? If so, I actually do have at least one spare phone sitting around.
