Soda Stream lets you make soda at home
3D printing lets you make assault rifles at home
If you wanted to put a positive spin on it (like his tone of voice and setting implies) then it democratizes soda production (even though the syrup manufacturers are the same people and Soda Stream is just another way for them to sell you products)
If you want the cynical, humorous take (which is what he wants to conjure) then in the same way that 3D printing assault rifles could help terrorists, people carbonating their own water could also be used in terrorist attacks.
>>1496818Is this some BDS propaganda or something? They're overpriced, but mathematically speaking it will pay for itself after about 100 liters, even if you're buying full price syrup and full price CO2 canisters. If you're drinking a lot of soda it's a good investment for saving money and space.
And if you're making it explode then you're doing something wrong, I've only used one half a dozen times, but they're pretty simple and feel plenty sturdy. And even if it does explode, it's only carbonated water. Are these morons adding syrup before carbonating it?
