You can find quite a few email hostings for about $1 a month (single mailbox) sometimes requiring having the domain at the hosting provider's company
outlier is spacemail which has single mailbox with 5 aliases for $5 a year
and there is also single free (ads in webmail) email hosting I know of - "email profi" by
seznam.czSeznam.cz is czech (part of EU) company, they are very trustworthy a reliable, czech equivalent of google (before they became evil). Their main source of income is search/ads, but they have also czech equivalent of street view
the hosting is crazy good - multiple mailboxes, aliases, catch-all email, CalDAV, ...
