Hi, I’ve been unemployed since mid September and have been scraping by on any work I can find—gardening, pet-sitting, anything. But now, even those small jobs have dried up. I’m absolutely desperate. I don’t have enough to cover my rent, which is already overdue, and I’m scared of losing my home. I’m in another state, with no family nearby, and my only family is my mother, who can’t support me financially. My father passed away when I was 12, so I’ve had to figure things out on my own for a long time.

I haven’t slept well in three days because the anxiety of eviction and survival keeps me awake. Where I live the resources are scarce... and it doesn’t take much to make a difference.
