I'm trying to make a superapp so I can link it to Elon Musk on Twitter.

This is the front page where you access all the apps. It made sense to me to make it look like a smartphone interface.
But it looks gloomy. Help me design this page to look attractive.

Is X a superapp these days? Hard to believe that. I think Elon just wants it to be a superapp but in reality it's still a typical social media site. My site actually has separate sites that all function differently and independently. I dont use any social media so I cant check how they operate and what they do.
I have never used socmed but I'm tryna create a new socmed on that basis. I need to hire a tiktok zoomer just for feedback I guess. All I can do is code and manage systems.

What if the user is not logged in? Where does it take you to? My site doesnt force you to create a user account to browse content.

there are always interesting and surprising things people pull off with css and javascript. but there's a reason all big mainstream sites are simple and with certain color schemes and you mostly see "exciting" and "brave" and "groundbraking" designs on the personal portfolios of frontend devs and web designers - they're just showing off their skills. that's how they get hired.

Yeah I'm getting the feeling that users themselves are the final problem.
Let's say I make a Discord without data hoarding and capitalism, but I cant program the AI that Discord uses to make pictures bounce. A completely useless and stupid feature. People will reject my non-toxic Discord because it doesnt have that stupid bouncing images thingy.
It bothers me that nobody uses sites for their psychological values. They just want maximum amount of gimmicks and braincandy, disregarding everything else.

and boiling discord down to gimmicks is not serious at all. i don't use it and have no idea what bouncing images you're talking about, but discord is fucking massive. there's so much more happening behind the frontend you can't just say "people like it because it's gimmicky" and call it a day. although you're partially correct, people like gimmicks as long as they're smooth.

I've realized that the "launcher" I originally envisioned must go.
The first page must have at least some information.

Should I just combine the 3 apps into one? (Images + Videos + Music)
Not sure if it makes sense to design 3 completely independent content dumps. Maybe I could have a single catalogue view but the thread is displayed differently depending on the file format.

Yes to combining. Change the three rows to three entire sections, each with several threads. The sections don't have to be all visible in the beginning; you can scroll down to see them, think of the Netflix main screen with the "recommended for you" and "because you watched..." categories
