How to trim a video with subtitles

I'm trying to make a webm of an anime episode, but when I trim the video on a video editor the subtitles are not there. I've seen people use Subtitle Edit to manually edit the time codes on the subtitle file and I was wondering if there are other ways to trim the video with subtitles for curiosity's sakes?

Depends on the editor you use. Usually it's a checkbox option to burn subs.
You can make subs with notepad. Write a timestamp (Hours:Mins:Sec,Millisecond) starting from when you want the text to appear through to when you want it gone. Subtitle text goes underneath.

Save the file and change the .txt file extension to .srt

I did it with Avidemux once and it worked. I trimmed a video and it had the exact subs trimmed and carried it into the resulting edited file.

That was a while back though and I even had to fuck with it to get it to do that, so I don't remember EXACTLY how I did it and I don't do it often enough to actually remember but I know it wasn't hard to figure out.

tl;dr Try Avidemux and if you run into an issue maybe ask again here and I can remember how I got over that.
